CPFC Rankings Terms
In order to better reflect the approach utilized by the college BCS rankings and make the CPFCR even more relevant, the CPFCR incorporates computer power rankings from two sources: the Massey rankings published by USA Today and the Packard Power Rankings. The CPFCR is made up of five polls (Denver Post / 9 News, Colorado Preps, CET / ispn.tv, Rivals.com, Freeman MaxPreps) and three computer rankings (the Wildcard points found on this site, Massey, and Packard Power). In keeping with the approach utilized by the BCS, the average of the computer rankings will constitute one third of a team’s total points, with the balance (or two-thirds) coming from the average of the polls.
